How to Verify Extracted Text in Each Bounding Box Before Batch Processing

ExtractGrid

When you draw a bounding box to define a field in your template, ExtractGrid shows the text extracted from that region in the right sidebar. This preview is your quickest way to confirm that each box is targeting the correct content before you process an entire batch.

Why verification matters

A bounding box defines both where to read and what ends up in your export. If a box is slightly too wide, too tall, or shifted to one side, it may include labels, footnotes, or values from neighboring fields. Those mistakes are easy to miss on a single test file but multiply quickly across hundreds of documents in batch mode.

What to review for each bounding box

Open the sidebar preview and check the following:

  • Correct field content — The extracted text should match the value you intend to export, not a label or unrelated line.
  • No extra text — Watch for nearby headings, table borders, or adjacent columns bleeding into the box.
  • Complete capture — Long values, multi-line addresses, and wide numbers should not be cut off at the edge of the box.
  • Consistent behavior across pages — If your document has multiple pages, verify boxes on each page type you plan to process.

Recommended workflow

  1. Create or adjust the bounding box on your sample document.
  2. Read the sidebar extraction result immediately after placing the box.
  3. Resize or reposition the box until only the intended text appears.
  4. Repeat for every field in the template.
  5. Save the template and run a small test batch before processing the full set.

Summary

The sidebar text preview is a built-in quality check during template creation. Taking a moment to verify each bounding box helps ensure your batch results contain the right data—and nothing from unintended regions.
